Shannon Rose Merrigan is a local artist born and raised in the Portland area. She finished her Bachelor's Degree in Art Practices in June, 2017. Merrigan’s artistic concepts stem from her personal interpretation of nature and her emotional and intellectual responses to her experience. Drawing and painting for over twenty years, she has an extensive collection of work and several of her pieces are in private collections in the Portland Metropolitan area. Merrigan participated in two group shows in 2016; a show titled 50 Works, at Portland State University’s MK Gallery and at the 35th Annual Gender Studies Symposium at Lewis and Clark College. Her paintings have also been published in two issues of Pathos Literary Magazine in 2016 as well. Currently she resides in Tigard Oregon with her husband and two children.
